Shri
Krishna Janmashtami: Lord Vishnu incarnated as Krishna in Rohini Nakshatra at
midnight on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month to free the earth
from sin.
This year janmashtami festival will be celebrated janmashtami 2021 date on

their own.

Shrimad Bhagwat as the proof, the believers of Smarta sect celebrate
Chandrodaya Vyapani Ashtami i.e.janmashtami in Rohini Nakshatra and Vaishnav
believers celebrate janmashtami on Udaykal Vyapani Ashtami and
Udaykal Rohini Nakshatra.
Different
Colors of Janmashtami- This festival is celebrated in different forms.
Somewhere there is a Holi of colours, somewhere there is a celebration of the
fragrance of flowers and perfume, somewhere there is the zeal to burst the dahi
handi and somewhere on this occasion one can see the enticing images of the
life of Lord Krishna. The temples are specially decorated. Devotees observe
fast and fast on this occasion. On this day tableaux are decorated in temples,
Lord Krishna is swinging and Krishna Raslilas are organized.
During
the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, devotees from far and wide reach

camphor etc. to the deity of God. On this day tableaux are decorated in the
temples and Lord Krishna is made swinging and Raslila is organized.
janmashtami Vrat Puja Vidhi- According to the
scriptures, by observing the fast on thisday, the devotee attains salvation.
This fast is meant to fulfill wishes. This holy festival of worship of Shri
Krishna fills everyone with devotion to Krishna. This fast is considered
obligatory for the people of Sanatan-Dharma. Fasting is observed on this day
and songs of devotion to Krishna are heard. The tableaux of Shri Krishna-Leela
are decorated in the worship rooms and temples of the house.
On
the day of Janmashtami, after getting up early in the morning and retiring from
daily activities, taking bath in holy rivers, ponds or at home, etc., the
resolution of janmashtami fast is taken. Gold, silver,
copper, brass, clay idols or pictures of Mother Devaki and Lord Krishna are
installed in the cradle with Panchamrit and Ganges water and make the idol of
Lord Krishna wear new clothes. The idol of Balagopal is placed in the cradle
and worships Lord Krishna with sixteen remedies. In worship, the names of
Devaki, Vasudeva, Baldev, Nanda, Yashoda and Lakshmi etc. are uttered and their
idols are also installed and worshipped.
